Drive Medical Bariatric Drop Arm Bedside Commode Chair, Grey

In a recent hospital stay, I took the manufacturer and model on a bedside commode chair that worked wonderfully. I ordered one for home recovery and was hugely disappointed in the difference between the hospital and the one I ordered. The home version leaks and makes a mess. The home version's seat is very uncomfortable. The hospital version had an attached seat and cover. The home version has no attached seat with cover. Very disappointed with this purchase.

This commode is excellent. unlike other commode that have just a hole and are terribly uncomfortable, this commode has a platform. It makes balance easy and you can also glide easily from a wheelchair or bed to the commode because of the platform. I broke my leg and went into a rehab facility. This is the commode that I started using with my slide board. It is truly more comfortable, easier and less painful than any other commode I've tried. Even bariatric commodes.

Ibought this commode to use after knee replacement surgery For the first two days it really worked out Then on the third the left arm collapsed causing me to stumble and to injure my wrist and knee I am now afraid to use it and will purchase a more sturdy commode locally

my mom fell and broke her hip. After receiving a rod and pin, she was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE sitting on a regular bedside commode. She is not over overly big, but her swollen hip and a few extra pounds were very comfortable on this commode. It is no piece of junk. I highly recommend it.

I would like the seat to be wider and deeper. The commode hole was a little small. The "snap in lid" was a little wobbly, as it made you feel that you were going to fall off of it. Hubby put a metal tab on it to make it more secure. Other than these things, it is not too bad for the price. I am getting used to it. I have to say, the shipping was very speedy.
