Thomas & Friends Take Along Thomas Playset, Percy and the Carnival

My son received this as a gift. He was so excited that he nearly cried. He said it was exactly what he wanted....and he has many wooden Thomas toys. We got home late and could not set it up that night. My son woke up several times asking if it was time to get up so we could play with his new toy. Well, the joy ended there. As most of the reviewers have said, it just won't stay together no matter what surface you put it on. If it weren't a gift, I would return it. It is somewhat easy to put together if you have the instructions handy but it just won't stay together. Once you get it together, it immediately falls down the first time they push the train up the big ramp. Even when they are careful. He has cried so many times. Now he just excepts that it won't work. The circular track and trains are well made. In fact, the trains are beautiful. But it does not take away from all the disappointment and frustration. I'm shocked that Thomas would put out a toy track of this poor quality. It is so flimsy. By the way, I've never written a review before. That's how strongly I feel about this product.

I got this for my 3 year old Thomas Freak before reading the reviews. The track falls apart with the slightest bit of pressure which means I have to stop what I am doing to fix the track. Not practical. We ended up just taking the tracks off the green risers and setting them up on the ground. This works much better and there is much less frustration.

My sons are very avid Thomas enthusiasts and were very excited when my 3 year old got this for his birthday. It does not snap together well and falls apart CONSTANTLY. Even my 5 year old can't get it to stay, and he has 50 million other Thomas sets that he can use just fine. They were so frustrated, they took the whole thing down after about an hour. Do not waste your money on this. It will only lead to tears and disappointment in your childrens' eyes.

This toy is very cute and my sons love the train but the track will not stay together. It's fun at first but they can not put it together and it will not stay together. You have to push the trains back up the hill and all of the part of the track that is elevated on the right side continuously comes apart and my sons can not put it back together so they quit playing with it. My husband quit trying to assemble it Christmas day becasue it was difficult to get to stay together the first day so I have been the one to assemble and reassemble it and it is a problem. I don't think I would recommend it unless you are going to play to sit and put it back together for you child. My children become frustrated when it comes apart and they can't fit it themselves.

My father-in-law got this for my two year old for Christmas. When I saw these other reveiws I thought "oh know" But my daughter loves it. if it is assembled correctly on a hardwood or tile floor it stays together just fine ocassionally the cats will attack it but thats not the toys fault. the only thing my husband doenst like is that they don't make trains that go by themselves for these take along sets. Overall a good buy.
