Yes! My 8-year-old son loves his drums! The drums are surprisingly well made for the price. They were a bit tricky to assemble but after a bit of head scratching everything turned out ok. The assembly is the only reason for four stars instead of five. The enclosed instructions were for a different drum set and some of the hardware required removal/adjustment/reattachment so just be prepared to finagle a bit but no worries.

Great gift for child interested in drums. Youtube has your back with step by step assembly. Very durable and fair price. I had to buy a larger throne for my son and next size up sticks. Very happy aside from the separate purchases. My son is tall for his age.

I was actually shocked by the high quality of this set. It comes with everything! I had to give it 5 stars because of the price Walmart offered, $82!!! I kept thinking that something had to be wrong. After I opened the box, I was stunned by the quality of what was there. It came with everything, more than offered with most starter sets. These are actual drums, not cheap plastic junk. But if I had to pay the regular price, I would complain about only 2 things: 1. The cymbals are awful. I don't expect Zildjian, but these clangers are an insult to the kit 2. The generic sticks are a missed opportunity for GP to promote their sticks All in all. I am pleased with this impulse purchase that I had to make for the price. My wife is wondering if I bought this for myself. My kid likes this kit so much that he actually puts down his guitar.

The instructions for putting this together were not the directions for the set we purchased. We found them online but the instructions were terrible. How about adding pictures or at least pictures of the parts? That being said, once we FINALLY got it out together, it is a pretty nice set. Our son is going to love it

So far so good! Christmas present for my 9 year old. The sound is amazing. Good set for training and teaching. He plays it along with YouTube videos and fundamental books. Will eventually need higher quality crashes.
