I got this for my wife and I after we noticed that we were packing on the pounds during the first month of the COVID lockdown. We have both been using it every day ever since we received it two months ago. Coupled with some modest changes in our diet, we have lost 15 lb and 10 lb, respectively during that time, and expect to continue this until we reach our goals. At first we could only handle it for about 20 minutes, but now our workouts are up to an hour and we actually look forward to it each day. We set up a platform on a tripod to hold a laptop computer, so we can watch tutorials or movies while we are doing our workout, which makes it a piece of cake. It is a surprisingly strong piece of home equipment, especially at this price, and I expect that it will continue to hold up well under this high level of use. I am 6 ft 2 inches and my wife is only 5 ft, but we find that there is enough adjustment in the handgrip extensions to accommodate both of us (me at the longest, her at the shortest). We love it !
You need two people to put this together safely. This is a good machine for toning, strength and increasing metabolism. However, already had a problem with the adjustable handles, both are broken due to the bead that adjusts height. I have contacted seller (still under warranty) have yet to hear from them. I'm 5'5" 125 pounds, perfect for me. I do not see how a person weighing over 200 pounds could use this machine without it breaking down sooner or later.
Climbers are the kings of exercise machines and normally the ones with adjustable resistances are so expensive that only the most expensive pay to play gym chains have them. I was skeptical when I saw this for $150.00 at Walmart but figured I could always return it were it a dud. NO! YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BACK. This thing is a masterpiece and a bargain that cannot be beat. It's the best money that I, now 65 have spent on equipment in decades. Thanks Weslo. Don't change anything with this gem.
I read reviews of many climbers. Some I simply could not afford, others were reported to break within months or even weeks. The frequent complaint about this one had to do with the display, but the display isn't a priority for me. One of the arm adjustment pieces has already busted, but I was able to pop an inexpensive bolt into the hole and problem solved. None of the climbers on the market are perfect, far from it. To get one that is inexpensive with moving/weight-bearing parts that are not cheap plastic was my goal and I think I made the right choice.
I wanted to get back into shape and get healthier so did some research and decided a stair climber would be exactly what I needed. I have only just started for a few weeks now but already have more energy, lost a little weight and I'm getting my heart rate up in a great exercise with this machine. I LOVE it!
