Got this batteries for all my electronic device needs for by Bug-out Bag. They do hold a charge and reminder to store in a cool dry place. I live in the Desert in So-California. Summer temps can get in the 120's, so i constantly check there charge every 3 months. Just a reminder. Just because you buy these batteries doesn't mean they are the best. It all comes down to what charger you are using. I've used many brand chargers for chargeable batteries and I have found the best in my opinion the Micro-USB Nitecore UMS4 charger. Yes i do recommend this product.
I bought my PowerOwl rechargeable batteries nearly two years ago. I agree that they do not have the capacity that is advertised. In my moving flame candles, they last about 6 hours less than my better black pro brand batteries do, but I do not find that significantly inconvenient—especially because they cost less than half the price of the others. I can say that they are still performing just as well after constant use for nearly two years as they did from the start.
I switched over to these about a year ago when I got tired of buying disposable batteries. I bought this pack since all of my devices now use these and I like to be able to rotate new batteries in. The capacity is great and they maintain a good charge when on the shelf waiting to be used. Like all rechargeable batteries you will have to charge them every so often even when not in use. I didn’t notice much of an issue after 2 months on the shelf but you will notice the difference after much longer than that.
We've had nothing but problems with these batteries. Sometimes they charge. Sometimes they don't. Sometimes they hold a charge. Sometimes they don't. By far my worst purchase of 2020. I bought AAA batteries too. Those are still going strong. The AA, however, are straight trash.
They look great, have a surprising capacity, and charge just fine. My only problem with them is that they're too big, physically. I tried to put them into a pair of glove hand warmers and they didn't fit into the battery box. I measured them against normal AAs and found them to be 14.2mm wide as compared to 13.5-13.9mm of an alkaline. This small difference is enough to make them not fit for the application. I'll use them elsewhere, but buyer beware.
