Grub High Chair - (Gray)

My advice: Do not buy this highchair. We bought this high chair with such high hopes. It seemed to have a lot of great features and came with good reviews. However, many of the reviews were from people gifted the high chair so I should have known better. I don't have much good to say. Yes, the tray and seat can go in the dishwasher, but our dishwasher is always full of regular dishes so we have to run a separate load to make these fit. We do it once per week or so to get a good clean. The bib hook on the back is a nice feature. I liked that it would work as a toddler chair in the future, but we've never used it that way so I can't comment on the actual use of it as such. The tray is a decent size with a good lip around the edge. That's where the good ends. Now to the negative. Where to begin? First, the seat is not at all ergonomic for proper sitting posture while eating. It's awful. I have to shove all kinds of rolled towels, etc. behind my baby to get him even close to correct sitting position. This makes using the straps difficult. My baby isn't even small for his age, so I can't imagine typical 6 month olds fitting well to start solids. The seat cushion is a disaster. It soaks up food, isn't wipeable, and stains easily. We stopped using it because it was just awful. The straps are nearly impossible to wipe because of their design and the warning label stitched onto them. The highchair, while low profile, has wide-splayed legs so it takes up a lot of floor space, particularly if you have it in its highest setting. Finally, and worst of all, the tray is IMPOSSIBLE to remove, even with two hands. You absolutely cannot remove it with one hand, and even with two I also have to use my knee to get it off, which is not fun when it's filthy after a meal. I have also hurt myself numerous times removing the tray - it's an awful design. I cannot believe a company that makes baby products would make a tray for a highchair like this one. If I could return this highchair I would do it in a heartbeat. I wish I could buy a new highchair, but this one wasn't inexpensive so I feel like it's difficult to justify, but it's THAT BAD that I may end up buying a new one anyhow because it's something we have to use multiple times a day and it's AWFUL!

The assembly was easy to a extent and I eventually had to keep taking breaks because I was getting so frustrated. I love that it is dishwasher friendly because it saves some time with cleaning the seat off. The high chair table latched and you had to look underneath to make sure you were unlatching the right thing I would have preferred a button latch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love having our baby at the kitchen table with us when we eat. This Grub convertible high chair allows us to do that just. The high chair pulls up to the table with ease. It is comfortable for the baby with the soft cousin pillow that comes in it. It is even better for clean up. Now that our 6 month old is exploring with her hands and food things can get a little messy. We enjoy the scene because cleanup is a breeze. The chair and tray are dishwasher safe. We just rinse it in the sink and into the dishwasher. This saves so much time and allows more time with family. We are also excited about being able to keep it even after she gets too big for the high chair. This convertible chair can also turn into a toddler seat and can be used for more that the kitchen. I would recommend this chair to any of my friends and family with babies and/or small children.

I also love the many options of height that you can do. My only negative is that the legs are a little wide and take up quite a bit of space.
