Scotts Moss Control Granules 5m

My garden shop didn't have my usual moss treatment in stock and they suggested Scott Moss. I prepared my lawn exactly according to directions using heavy coverage. In one spot I put down a double dose. 7 days later not one section of moss had died out. This is unbelievable. So I found my usual Moss out product and applied to 1/2 of the area already treated with Scotts. Within 6 hours the moss was dead. The area treated only with Scotts was still alive and growing. I applied product per instructions except where moss was heavier, I hand applied extra. It did not rain for three or four days after application. It is now two weeks later and if anything, this product fertilized the moss. Where I hand applied extra, the moss grew much more than the rest of the area where I applied the product. With 17.5% ferrous sulfate, (if it really had this), the moss should have died and turned black in days.

I read revs before buying all said within 24-48 hours the moss would die. It has been two weeks and nothing. I got two bags and coated the yard. I am going to buy ONE MORE bag and try again in another few weeks, as it says you have to wait some before next app but so far I am not happy at all with the product.

I had a large patch of area where it was 50% moss and 50% grass. This product killed off the moss without affecting the grass - the moss effectively turned brown and died out. Now the grass appears to be thriving. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I applied this product to my lawn over two weeks ago, but moss is still going strong. I emptied the entire bag concentrating mostly on the area with visible moss growth. I can see where the graunules landed, because I can see minute black specks. However, the rest looks vibrantly green. I am going to try the liquid version sprayed with hose.
