Mongoose 18 G Maya Punky Pink

My 6 year old daughter got this bike for Christmas and she loves it. It is even good enough for her 4 year old sister to ride also. Bike is heavy enough to take to little girl beating it up on. This is a great bike for the money.

I bought two for Christmas for my daughters. The hard to find 18" wheel size bicycles are just right for them. As noted by another reviewer they are a dark pink. For the price they are an adequate value. They are heavy bicycles, the welds are complete but uneven. The wheels are beefy. Some of the components are a bit cheesy, but are appropriate for the price level. There are no tassels, baskets, horns/bells or kick stands. But this way the kids can choose what they want. I also like them because they aren't tied into a mass-market-cartoon character. The assembly requires mounting the front tire, training wheels, pedals and the steering gooseneck. On both bikes I had to adjust the handlebar, crank set, rear tire, hand brake and seat clamp. The training wheels required oil to stop the squeaking. One bicycle had the chain guard driven in a bit and needed some heavy adjustment. I am a very competent home bike mechanic and it took about 45 minutes for each bicycle. But I am particular about mechanical things. Both bikes had missing parts. Non-critical and taken care of over the phone. The girls like the bicycles and I recommend this bicycle for the price. The size of this cycle which is 18", is not available that easy every where. Advantage of 18" is that it span more years of enjoyment for your loved ones. The cycle is well build, with lots of hight, handle adjustments available. Very difficult to find from stores and online. I bought it through online, but shipping really crushed the box, including the reflector.

I like the bike got it for the size you cant find many 18 inch bikes my daughter has not rode it yet it is for cristmas product looks good for the money.
