PowerA Advantage Wired Controller for Nintendo Switch 2 - Black

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the PowerA Advantage Wired Controller for the Nintendo Switch 2 in exchange for my honest review. This controller is so cute! My daughter loves the whimsical “Mushroom Kingdom” Design. It is very lightweight, which is perfect for her. I appreciate that it comes with a long power cord, so it can be used anywhere in the room. The buttons have a nice feel and the joystick is very smooth. The controller makes playing an enjoyable experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disclaimer: this is written from my son's perspective as I am not a regular gamer. This is a fairly average switch controller. Well summit people may prefer the ability to recharge the controller, I find it frustrating that it doesn't also have a regular battery option so that I could switch it out if I wanted to charge mid game. Well, there are a lot of buttons available, they are not positioned in a way that feels natural or easy to use. The controller has features similar to an Xbox controller, but I prefer the Xbox over the switch.

Mainly because my daughters birthday is coming up and I just bought her a Switch 2! She's going to absolutely love this controller! I love the design from Mushroom Kingdom, plus there are customizable buttons, and a C button so you can chat. I appreciate that it's a wires controller so I don't have to go through batteries, plus it has a 10 ft cord! This will be a great addition to the new Switch 2!

Performs well and was compatible with most Nintendo switch models. My only critique is that it does feel cheap. It's very hollow and lightweight which can make it feels cheap.

They offer comfortable ergonomics, often mimicking Xbox controllers, and come in a vast array of licensed designs. Many feature mappable back buttons and motion controls, plus excellent battery life in wireless models. However, they lack HD Rumble and NFC (Amiibo support). Most wireless versions use AA batteries, and wired models have fewer features. While generally good quality, they can feel lighter than official controllers. Perfect for budget-conscious gamers, secondary controllers, or fans prioritizing unique designs over premium rumble.
