Work fairly good on small logs only, Always flips over moving it on grass, Too short of wheel base and very top heavy!! Will not split med to large logs at all. Controls are at the ground, very tough on the back and knees even in sitting position. I would never recommend this item to anyone. Very frustrating to free up hydraulics when the splitter will not split the wood!!

I bought this unit to split the wood that was already split.I use oak wood and it burns faster and hotter if it is much smaller and this splitter does not mis a beat. Great for spur of the moment and fast.I tried a few big pieces and performs well.it came all put together and was ready right out of the box.great product.I recommend it for all the weekend bonfire worriers.I use it more than my 37ton now and it's electric. No bad gas problems.

After I made some substantial improvements it works very well. I still do not like the switching that requires you to shut off the motor to get the ram to return and it will be very hard to modify that. I did raise the entire splitter about 18" off the ground by fabricating a new wheel system and front pedestal. The electric motor was too close to the ground and it would suck dirt and debris into the cooling fan...not a good deal. Would Recommend with modifications.

I purchased it with great astonishment up how small a log you could split in half and how big of one it can to. I've been splitting large green logs apart and they dry out within a month ready to use in my fire pit. Great product worth every penny!

I mounted this onto a hand cart for easy moving and to make it higher. It turned out to be a perfect solution for the person who has access to trees 10” or smaller! I highly recommend!
