Ideal for any number of foods, such as soups, salads, rice, and more, this fantastic piece is carved from a species of Chinese Fir called Shan Mu, which grows abundantly in the mountains of central China. The stumps left by logging are reclaimed prior to replanting and hand-carved by local artisans into the shapes in this collection. A beautiful and practical item that, with the occasional knothole and crack, will bring its own unique organic charm into the home. A damp and food safe natural lacquered interior finish is used.
