I bought this so I could do the trimming because my husband was always cutting something he shouldn't and I could not manage our large gas-powered trimmer. It's nice and light and easy to handle around every kind of edge and in between bricks in a walkway. I can do everything I need to do in our 2-acre yard with one charge-up. I've used it 6 times and I'm still on the string cartridge that came with it but the cartridge looks very easy to change. Its easy to store on the shelf I use that's near the outlet for the charger. I haven't had it long enough to really comment on dependability but it feels strong and is always ready to work. Highly recommended!!

I had a 7 inch Toro that was great, just getting old. This one does not cut as well and you cannot edge with it. Does not give you a clean cut. Have to go over the edge of the garden with the old one. Would not recommend this to anyone. Sorry I bought it.

This cordless trimmer is very easy to handle due to its light weight and design. However, the battery does not hold a charge for as long as I expected. It had plenty of power for a lightweight trimmer as long as the battery had a full charge. Seems like a well made, quality trimmer.

We had the older 7" model and the battery finally gave out after about 10 years. We were satisfied with it so we bought the new model. The new model has a wider cutting path and improved line feed. The handle is easier to grip and new unit a better balance.

This trimmer has lots of power and is easy to use. Recharge it overnight and it'll last for a long time on the charge. The bump feature for letting out more line is far better than the newer "auto" line-out models. This is my second Toro cordless trimmer. The first one lasted several years before the battery finally gave out and could not hold a charge. Given the affordability of this trimmer, it's easier buying a new one than trying to replace the battery in the old one. This is a superior product for the price. It'll do everything you'd want a cordless trimmer to do.
