My baby liked the bottle and nipple for two weeks only. Thankfully I had a free avent bottle, which he latched to afterwards.

I have invested in several different brands, due to exclusively pumping, to include, Medela, Kiinde, Gerber and Evenflo (all with slow flow nipples). Here's why they work for me: *economical *connects with my single (hand) and double breast pumps *nipple has prevented the amount of air intake for my child, reducing gassiness and spit up *does not collapse *doesn't increase nipple preference *easy to clean and hasn't become cloudy *****although I can usually find them in store between my two homes in Albuquerque, NM and West Palm Beach, FL, the online option does not allow color/gender choice*****

When I was setting up my registry, I researched all the expensive, complicated bottles, like the Playtex ones with the air vents, and the Dr. Brown bottles with the straws. I chose the Playtex ones. Maybe it was just me, but as a new mom, I didn't have the time, patience, or energy to try to figure out how to wash all those little parts and put them back together. I bought these. They were pretty inexpensive, they were really easy to wash and put together, didn't leak between the collar and the nipple (unlike the Gerber Essentials-STAY AWAY!) and most of all, my son had no problem with them. We kept some in the diaper bag, loaded with formula, and had bottled water available for when we were on the go. Just a tip for new moms. :)

I want to like these bottles because of the price, but the nipple collapses during every feeding several times because the venting system simply does not work creating a vacuum. However, for the price they are decent enough if you don't mind stopping your feeding to allow the nipple to reshape back to normal.
