Fisher-Price - My Little Snugabear Cradle 'n Swing

I received this swing as a shower gift for my son, and right now he's 16lbs at Six months old. He loves the mirror above him and the songs that play for him. My only issue is that the about four months in the swing stopped working, even though it was plugged it. We bought new batteries for the swing and now it works fine it.

My son is now 8 months old.I got this product after 2 months he was born.Last month it started with electronic swing not working then we started to use it for 2 hours a day to help my son during his nap time. Yesterday it started with lot of unbalanced movement and today we stopped using it since the top electronic portion started breaking up. My son is around 28 inches and weights 17 lbs. So its good but not that durable.

Where was this type of swing with our first child? Our first child received the "old-fashioned" floor swing that only swings front-to-back. Needless to say, we never used it. The Snugabear cradle'n swing is a true lifesaver, a.k.a. sleepsaver. We were amazed at how much our new little baby LOVED this swing, especially the side-to-side cradle motion. He loved it from the moment he came home from the hospital well into his 8-9 month. IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! I told my husband that this one baby item was worth far more money than we paid, considering the time that it gave us. The "nature" sound is very pleasant, and we used this setting the most at night time. As the baby got older, we used the other song-type settings during the day time. The AC adapter is the way to go--no dealing with changing batteries. We never had a problem with anything on the swing. Excellent purchase!

The music never worked to begin with...but we ignored that because our baby LOVES the swing. Then the bees made a loud popping noise every time we turned that on. Couldn't use that either. Now after a total of a month and a half later the motor is completely dead. The highest swing mode barely moves at all. Sadly all this and my baby STILL only wants to sleep in the swing, so every night we put her in there and swing it ourself..(even then it still makes me loud clicking/popping noise) then when she falls asleep let it stop on its own. LOVE the swing but make is pretty cheap especially for the price.

I so wish the motor worked better on the fisher price swings. My son is only a month and a half and we have gone thru 2 of these. The first one was used so I thought it was just used to much, but I went and got one new and its already breaking down and it is only 2 weeks old. You sit it to swing medium speed and it goes slower than a snail. My son loves the mirror on it and the bees and I love the plug in option and that the seat is perfect, but I won't be getting another fisher price swing. Can't afford to keep spending money. My advice, spend the extra money and buy a swing that will last longer then 2 weeks.
