Magellan Magellan Maestro 4210 Automobile Navigator

The Maestro 4210 was the exact unit I was looking for. However, when it arrived the screen had been damaged either in production or shipping. Returned it to my nearest Walmart for full refund. Ended up buying a Roadmate 1412 from Sears. It doesn't have all the gadgets, but I am very satisfied with the performance of the unit.

This is a great GPS! Its almost completely accurate on when exactly you need to turn. It is very easy to use, and put in addresses of where you need to go. It will get you there in the fastest time, and when the high ways are shut down, it can re route you with side roads in just seconds. I even went out to get my mother one.

I personally have a Magellan Maestro 3100 which was a Christmas present 2 yrs ago and I just LOVE IT. I bought 2 of the 4210's for a couple of co-workers who also drive truck over the road. The easy use, larger screen and the added option for up to 20 locations is definitely an added plus. Well worth the money, and much less than others with more features that I feel aren't needed. Although Magellan doesn't offer the option for "truck routes", I would recommend their product very highly to all truckers.

Will get you to your destination>On at least one destination unit insists location is on the right when it is on the left. Seems to get confused when entering a residential complex>will not necessarily pick the best route to destination. So far unable to dictate the route and save it. It will default to what it believes to be best route.

Previously owned Magellan Roadmate 700. Plugged it in and used it right out of the box. 4210 took about ten minutes of reading but that's all. Very simple. I like the larger screen and the night time display is off the hook. It's very slim and compact (it goes right in the case and in my purse). My only complaint is that I can't change the voice from female to male. I have already suggested this unit to three friends and two of them bought it and were equally satisfied. I'm soooooooo glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews.
