This GPS did everything I needed. The fact that it tells you the street name is great, especially in a GPS under a $100. I haven't had any problems with it. It is very easy to use. My six year old enjoyed telling us what was coming up next and where to go before the GPS could!

Bought this because it was the least expensive and tom tom has great reviews. Also free basic updates online. Worked out of the box, but was 10 times better once it was updated. Love it and have bought another as a gift. There may be better, but not for this price.

I ordered two of these for Christmas presents. I was very disappointed when my children informed me that the model received does not Read street names. What was received in the box was not the gps indicated. It appears we received the 3rd edition, not the Tom-Tom-OneS. In fact, the box was correct, but what was in it was not! The kids like the gps anyway, but I was disappointed. The Walmart store could not really help me, as it was site-to-store and was not available in the store.

Easy to setup, easy to use. Only disappointment is that in order to use the text to speech feature, you have to use the computer voice. And there is only one to choose from. If you select a human voice, there are several to choose from, but you lose the text to speech feature.

Over the years, I have used customer reviews at this site and others to evaluate products before I buy them. I find these reviews to be most helpful, so thought I would write one. I ordered a Tom Tom One-S gps from Walmart on Sunday, and it arrived on Tuesday. Great service! Took it out of box, connected to computer with provided usb cable (which can also be used to charge gps indoors). It automatically installed Tom Tome Home on my computer, then went to Tom Tom website to see if updates to map were available. They were, and it took about 20 min to download and install. Tom Tom Home can be used for a variety of purposes (checking for map updates, backing up and restoring data to gps, etc. The gps is very easy to use. Main menu on touchscreen is very intuitive. Took the gps out for a driving test, and found it to be very accurate. It does speak street names in a clear and audible voice, provided you use the computer voice (Tom). Only shortcoming is that no detailed user's manual comes with gps. Have to download it from Tom Tom website, but no big problem. All-in-all, an excellent gps at a great price.
