With these tires I never had to worry about road conditions. Even after 35,000 miles they had better traction than my brand new set of Goodyear K/O 2's. I never lost traction in snow or ice. The first day I replaced my Blizzak's with a brand new set of K/O 2's I slid pulling out of my driveway. That had not happened in the previous 2 years under the Blizzak's.

I have driven these tires for three seasons in the local southern California mountains. My Explorer is all wheel drive, and the traction is fantastic. I have a long steep driveway in Big Bear Lake, California, and so far have been able to drive in and out in up to 18 inches of snow. Tires ride well in snow, rain and dry pavement. I do not notice road noise reported by other reviewers. The soft rubber compound gives my truck a smoother ride on dry pavement. I do notice a drop in coasting speed and gas mileage, apparently from the softer tires. Strongly recommended.

We were looking for a good Winter tire and found a "Great" Winter tire in the Blizzak line. They worked so great that we bought a set for our Mazda 3. Thanks Bridgestone.

Amazing. Mid November we got 9" of snow in 8 hours here in Ohio's lake effect snow belt. A co-worker and I pushed 11 cars out of the work parking lot. When it came time for me to leave, several people offered to push my 425HP 6 speed Camaro SS. I wanted to try with no help. After cleaning off the car I put it in 1st gear and drove out of the parking space to the surprise of several people watching. I then made a "victory lap" around the building and drove home the back way to avoid the backed up main traffic lanes. The entire time the traction and stability lights never lit as there was no tire slippage. Amazing traction.

Tires have been great for 5 winter seasons. I ensure I take tires off before weather get too hot. Great in hard packed snow, wet snow and ice. A great value. Especially if you value your own safety.
