3M RF5741 4' Black Scotch Outdoor Velcro Fasteners Roll

I love the new extreme fasteners from Scotch. I was given a chance to review the product in exchange for my honest review. I'm super glad I was chosen, because I don't think I would have picked this up otherwise. Gone is your traditional Velcro that easily wears out after a while. These lock in like velcro, but with super strength. They are made from plastic, so you don't end up with messy threads or loose tiny hooks like Velcro. I also used it for a great 4 months before I wrote my review because I wanted to make sure it won't wear out after a month or 2. So far, it's still holding strong. This is a great for if you want to be able to hang or hold something to a wall, with the added flexibility of removing & re-attaching it often. One of the key features of these fasteners is that there is no "top" and "bottom" like Velcro. Both pieces are the same and you just need to press one piece to the other. In the past, I have used the lighter duty one to attach a light remote to our wall. I love the concept and that it seems we are evolving from the old Velcro. I volunteer to evaluate products for 3M,and the company recently sent me a free sample of Scotch Extreme Fasteners,1 in x 10 ft. I use the's extreme fasteners to keep my flatscreen tv safely on the table it sits on and it does not move around anymore.So it is strong and holds on to things well.I also used the fastener to close a pocket on my purse and it works great.The fastener is a very long strip that you cut to the size you want and then you just peel off the paper and stick it on the object you want to hold together,it is like velcro but better because nothing gets stuck oit or to it but the other side.I have a picture to show how we used it to secure my tv.You cannot really see the fastener's pieces but that is what good about it too.It blends in. I tried Scotch Extreme Fasteners the other day and I think the product is long overdue. I used them to secure a lightweight aluminum cover to hide a hole. They worked great. I also used them to hang pictures and a clock on the wall. They couldn't have come at a better time because we are painting, patching, and updating several rooms. I love this product! I bought a light for my closet and it came with peel-and-stick Velcro to keep it up. After the light fell down twice, I decided to try this product instead. I received this item from 3M to test, the first time I tried I only cut a one inch piece for both the wall and the item to attach to which in my case was a small fire extinguisher, when I awoke the next morning I had noticed that the fire extinguisher was on the floor, so I tried again and this time I cut both pices to three inches and that was five days ago and I have not had any problems since, I have removed it from the wall and replaced it without any problems. I would like to emphasize that it may take a little more fastener depending on the size and weight. Otherwise it is a great product to use instead of nails and hangers.
