Safety 1st IH185 - Humidifier - mobile

Silent operating User friendly No filters to replace Great product for the price. Humidifies one large room easily. Purchased one of these a year ago. Still working great. This was for another room in the house.

No noise whatsoever from this humidifier, though I prefer a little hum to help the kids fall asleep. I put this in my daughters' room. Even at the lowest setting I can see the mist. The first week I just used tap water and it left a white film on everything in the room. I then realized I had to use bottled distilled water. No more film at all since using the right water. I have a humidifier in my room with a filter and I can use tap water with no film or residue at all. It isn't a safety 1st though. I like how you can adjust the direction of the mist for a larger room or if you need to direct the mist away from electronics or paper.

I would not recommend this product because it only lasts a few months before it begins to leak. It leaks out of the bottom of the unit. I am on my 2nd one and I bought it on 12/02/2012 and today 4/1/2013 and it began to leak. Out of the 90 day return time. Bought warranty because of experience with leaking previously. Walmart product plan was only $4 but it does not take effect until 12/02/2013. They claim it is under manufacturer's warranty until then. The manufacturer does not return emails and can not get through on phone.

This is a great humidifier. I ahve struggled with the ones that have the filters and they just get icky and I think do more damage than good. This one is quiet, you can control the steam from very little to a lot and it is easy to keep clean

This is my second safety 1st humidifier. I broke the first one by accidentally dropping the part that holds the water. It slipped right out of my hand. Besides it being slippery it does what it should.
