Nintendo Wii - New Super Mario Bros. Pack - game console - black - New Super Mario Bros

Our previous Wii stopped working and Nintendo charges $75 + tax/shipping to repair. So for $128 special price in club this looked like a no-brainer. However, there was no mention that this was a different Wii than our existing unit. Husband installed it and saw that there are no ports to plug in any accessories (so anything that isn't wireless is not usable). So there was no way to hook up the Wii Fit. Will return.

We are a family of gamers. Although I (mom) isn't as technology advance as my husband and 13 yr old son I have really enjoyed this system. Reads you better now than when it first came out. Love to play on the kinect but was having issues with it sensing me at times while working out. That is really why I wanted to try a different system. Can sense you while far or close. With the kinect you have to be in the just right area where here I am only but about 3-4 ft and reads me perfectly. Work out games are cheaper on the Wii than the kinect (major plus)! Just a great system. Only game I play is Mario which is awesome!!!!! Manly used to work out. Would recommend to everyone. Topper-the black matches with the rest of our equipment. :)

We've only tried a few games so far, but they've all been great! We tried the New Super Mario Brothers that comes with the Wii and also the original Zelda game (downloaded for the Virtual Console). All have worked great! We also downloaded Hulu Plus--it's very convenient to be able to watch shows through our Wii instead of having to hook up the computer to the TV!

I, a 72 year old great grandmother, purchased this Nintendo Wii for my 2 great grandchildren about a month ago and they have had so much fun with it that I wish I had purchased this a long time ago, they are 7 and 3 years old and very much into games and movies. I am pleased that this item is so children friendly, the 3 year old is home with me during the day and he is learning numbers, colors, the names of animals, his relationship with the world about him, etc. without much assistance from me. I is worth the purchase price.

I just bought this package yesterday. The disc reader sounds like a weedwhacker, very loud and annoying. The limitations on the new model since the GC ports are no longer available. Aside from that I suppose it's alright, I may be trading it in for a 360 though.
