Visine-A Red Eye Allergy Relief Eye Drops, 0.5 fl. oz, Pack of 2

I purchased this product today at the suggestion of a pharmacist. Approximately 15-20 minutes after using the drops, my vision became extremely blurry. This affected my sight for both near and far vision. Also, my eyes were very sensitive to light.

I bought this because I have horrible allergies and my eyes get dry and itchy. This caused my left pupil to dilate twice the size of my right, headache and dizziness. I had to go to the emergency room because my Dr said I may be having a stroke. So after many expensive tests and an emergency room copay I was sent home. My pupil started to stabilize after about 6hours.I would no recommend this to anyone.

Was hesitant to try after reading some of the posts regarding pupil dilation and increased redness, but experienced no negative reactions. I wear contacts so after removing them before bed I put a couple drops in each eye. The results in the morning were that my eyes were a little dry but there was nowhere near the gooky discharge I'd been experiencing. I put two more drops in each eye and waited a while before inserting my lenses. Vision was clear all day and even into the evening, no blurriness, very little itching and the gook from my allergies was gone. Same process the second day and in the am my eyes were very dry, but cleared up after a while, so I figure with any antihistamine, dryness of some sort is to be experienced. Very mild and most importantly no discharge from eyes due to allerigies and nice, clear vision all day and night!

We bought this for our son because he has allergies and the doctor told us to get eye drops. The first dose he said burned his eyes and we thought because he had red irritated eyes it was something that just happens. He took one more dose, it still burned and he was very sensitive to light,woke up this morning with both eyes redder and swelled up. He is going back to the doctor to see what is going on. I wish I would have looked online at reviews to see that there are folks who have burning reactions as well and that it is not normal.

I have chronic dry eyes and lately I just wasn't getting the relief I needed with moisturizing eyedrops. I tend to get seasonal allergies and decided to try Visine-A. I was amazed, it was uncomfortable for a moment but I'm used of that because of my dry eyes and then had relief for hours. Thank you. This will be a must have in my purse. ~Susan
