I do not understand why UA golf has such an issue with the depth of pockets in their Match Play shorts. It's awful. I spend an entire round picking up tees, ball markers, divot repair tools, etc., that have fallen out of my front pockets. UA golf does not have the same issue with Match Play pants or Textured Match Play pants or shorts, so why this issue with the regular Match Play shorts? Are they manufactured somewhere differently than the others? Perhaps a place where people have smaller hands and don't carry anything in their front pockets?

Great fit and style.Very comfortable to play in, especially in hot climates. (I live in AZ) Seem to be a little short compared to the 11" inseam advertised. However the pockets are very shallow. It's fine if you don't keep anything valuable in them but items can fall out very easily while getting in and out of a car or golf cart. I usually keep my money clip in my pocket while playing, but if I'm wearing these shorts I have to make other arrangements. It's a real pain. So I won't be ordering anymore of these shorts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I love the shorts but they are definitely cut different then the match play shorts I have purchased in the past. I bought one size larger then I previously had and they were still way to small.

First, big complaint you will see is the depth of the pockets. I actually agree the designers at UA with the shorter pockets in theory. That is, who honestly wants to shove their entire hand into their pockets on a hot day and go dig for a ball marker, tee or ball. Honestly, with plastic tees, you only need one the entire round. So, I totally agree with the depth for my style of play, in that I carry one ball marker, one plastic tee and a ball. This is a golf short and not a cargo short, so again I am a fan of the depth. If you carry lots of stuff and devices in your pockets, then you definitely need a different short. The fit is very good, conforming while flexible and of good quality. My only complaint, is the material used inside the pockets is not slick, which is needed for the shorter front sockets, but try getting a golf ball out of the rear pockets is impossible without completely turning the pocket inside out. The rear "inside" pocket material should be of slicker material and not the same material you use on the shorter front pockets.

Due to a very short rise and surprisingly small pockets these are very uncomfortable. The material is very good and the expansive waistband are plusses but does not compensate for the first mentioned faults. I am very disappointed
