TROY BILT 24B-424M766 3” 250cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Chipper Shredder & Mulcher

Have had the 4325 chipper for over five years now. I use for shredding leaves and chipping branches. You have to add the leaves at a slow continuous rate to keep from plugging the hopper. If you do this it works great on even wet leaves. Chipping softwood up to 3 inches works fine. Hardwoods up to 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Restarting in hot weather is a little troubling at times. But always starts easily with first use and restarts while warm in cooler weather. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I have had this machine for a number of years now without a complaint on it's operation. At 11.5 HP it is nothing but powerful. It loves pine, but will handle hardwood with ease. I've only had to change the oil and replace 1 tire over the years. This proved to be a great no nonsense purchase. Thank You Troy-Bilt

Have had this equipment for about a year. makes quick work of new and old branches. Great for yard clean up after a wind storm. Fall leaf work is really easy . Equipment shreds leaves into a fine mulch for composting. Not a fan of the bag though, except for minimal quantity of branches. i find it difficult to operate the clip to secure the bag to the discharge chute. A larger clip would make it easier to secure and release the clip. Branch chute will digest branches up to 3 For leaves I lay a board below the exhaust chute and blow leaves or chips into a tarp with the back of the tarp slightly raised then haul the tarp away Great piece of equipment!!

I purchased this unit about 2 years ago when we bought this property. I have used the heck out of it since then. I had my first breakdown yesterday. The parts are on order and I expect it to keep right on working as it has. The only drawback is on hardwood ( I am surrounded by oak and maple) you have to drop the size down to about 1” to 1-1/2”. But it still will chew them up dang well. I get my ground cleared and as a bonus free mulch. What more could you ask for?

See other reviews. It is hard to start. The carb flooded and was dripping all over. I had to drain the tank. remove the float, and put it all back together. This was on a brand new machine. If it jams, you have a hard time clearing iit out and trying to pull the motor through.
