Brother Innov-is NS80E Sewing Machine

This is a little machine but a great starter machine for someone interested in "just the basics" for sewing. You could definitely travel with it and not worry about it being too heavy to carry. It covers the basics for sewing; buttonholes, a nice selection of decorative stitches, good needle threading system, 7 different sewing feet. This would not be the machine for quilting, there isn't the throat space, but you could definitely take it on a quilt retreat and do your piecing. Its got my vote for basic sewing (garment or quilt piecing) and being affordable. Brother has compensated me for leaving this review, but I have provided my honest opinion about this machine and its features.

It's so easy to set up and use (I searched how to do everything) and the updates is amazing. It's compact enough to bring with you to grandma's house. Definitely a must have for the stitching fanatic

I make a lot of baby blankets, bump clothes, etc. and this is a huge upgrade to my previous sewing machine! To have 80 different stitches is just impressive! I am again excited to sew with the ease of this machine! Way to go, Brother for making such an impressive sewing machine!

This machine is easy to set up except for threading the top thread.  I googled and found a clip that showed me what to do and now that's simple too. The LED lighting with this machine is wonderful.  I was sewing in a dark room tonight but had no problem seeing what I doing.
