CHI Air Expert Classic Tourmaline Ceramic Hairstyling Flat Iron Straightener, 1", Onyx Black

This is a great straightener. Gets hot quickly. Has adjustable heat settings. Straightens hair beautifully. A little pricey but so worth it. I have bought cheap straighteners in the past. They dont work well, and dont last long. I bought this straightener about 8 months ago, its still working great.

I bought my daughter this flat ironed several years ago for Christmas. I used it yesterday and I was amazed at how well it worked. I am ordering myself one today.

My wife purchased this about 6 months ago and she was using this morning and placed it down on the bathroom counter and there was a loud bang and on the countertop a black electrical burn. If this would of happen in my wife's hair, it could of been a seriously burn my wife scalp or her hair. The picture attached shows where the electrical flash came out of.

I bought my first CHI about 7 years ago and it still works. I got this one for my birthday just in case. I don't care for the auto-off or the temp dial as my fingers tend to hit them and turn the dial up and down, but this dial isn't as easily turned, it's tucked away into the "handle" and you're more likely to burn yourself than to change it by accident. Love the mat it comes with as well, very nice.
