This small unit provides peace of mind whist home or away. It monitors smoke and CO2 and not only sounds an alarm but advises you it is about to do so. The app alerts you on your phone too so if you are out you are still aware of any issues. A monthly report is provided by email for each device including any power outage. There is a pathfinder light which is activated by movement at night.

Great product I have 2 one upstairs and 1 downstairs I sleep very easily and never worry about fires. It's good to know what's going on when you are away from home also. The light is a great feature that I didn't know about. We love it when it does a test it's so reassuring. The batteries last for a lot longer than we expected.

Whilst on holiday in the Philippines we recieved a warning to our phone that there was smoke detected by our nest protect on the landing in our home, 8000 miles away. When the second nest protect warned get out of the house we new this was serious. My son had fallen asleep with food under the grill and wasnt answering his phone. We phoned a friend who rushed round, extinguished the fire .

The product quality is excellent and installing / setting up is straightforward. We have 4 installed at present and will be installing more as we complete our refurbishment works. We had an activation due to burning toast and the detectors worked flawlessly and as they are linked to our Phillips Hue lights which flashed throughout the house - brilliant.

Very impressed with Nest Protect. Can be a bit fiddly to install but once up it looks great and has great features. The light circles are perfect for reassurance at a glance, pathway light is useful at bedtime. The pre-warning about smoke is great in avoiding unwelcome alarms when the dinner goes crispy! The app is really user friendly and gives great reassurance whether you're home or away.
