I was searching for a black touchless trash can for my kitchen and this one is spectacular! It not too short and in regards to the black color: its a true black (not faded/ nor discolored). I also had the batteries on had for them to test the product, and it worked great!!!! To my surprise after I did all this I looked at the manual (it states within 30 days of purchase) it promotes the two year warranty! I absolutely love that, as it gives me cushion in case there product has issues along the way. I also highly liked the fact the lid part has a beautiful finish of brand logo on the top of the lid, making it presentable. When I was looking at other brands similar to this this one (before purchasing this one I did research), I noticed other brand logos didnt have a clean finish. Every detail makes a difference. Another thing worth noting, I love it that it isn't loud when opening/closing. It has 3 functions 1. touch less 2.close button 3.open. The sensor does not close fast, it closes once you are finished. If you need it opened for a long period of time just press and open button and its useful if you need to throw a lot of stuff for longer than usual time. I also I love the size of this one. Its 28 in. When purchasing online you want to make sure the height of the product meets your expectations (to avoid unnecessary returns and disappointments). This product is 5 star worthy after it meeting my needs, style/color, height, quality (in person experience). Im so happy I chose this one. Keep in mind I only write reviews when the product stands truly live up to quality expectations. Hope everything works out for you all!! :)

When we got it the lid was very small to put garbage in. The cover for holding the batteries fell off instantly after the first use. The batteries came out into the garbage and so did the cover. We had no idea until after garbage man already came and took the bag away. So now holding new batteries in with tape and they don't stay well. Trash can very easy to get messy since lif so small. The motion sensor to open lid is cool, but not worth buying this garbage can for.

I ordered this trash can on Prime under instruction from my wife. I was under the impression that online was the only place I could find this trash can in black. Feeling uneasy about being able to return it... after reading reviews. ... I Googled it and saw it was at Walmart for 10 bucks cheaper. I canceled the Prime order. In 3 days it was on my door for free. I no longer cared what the reviews said because I knew my mother-in-law could easily return it if it broke. She has been using for a week now and she loves it. It amazes me that people need an automatic door on a garbage can... but if that floats your boat... baby this is your deal. After inspecting the can myself I saw no flaws and it worked perfectly..... however... I can see how the amazement of people or children might needlessly overwork this garbage can from its entertainment value.

l saw one of these in a classroom at a very new hotel. Me and my fellow female classmate thought it was awesome! No touchy, touchy. Just hold your hand over the light and it politely opens and then shuts after a few seconds. I kept going back to the coffee station just so I could play with the trash can. I know, sounds stupid and crazy but I was really impressed and told everyone I was going to get one for home ASAP. The guys seemed less impressed and said they would be happy with a trash can with "no lid" and a quick toss. Sorry, I don't want to see my garbage. Got mine from Walmart at a good price. Delivery was quick! No assembly. Just put a "C" battery in the lid and a bag in the bin and it's ready to go. I could have gotten the plug in one, but opted for the battery operated. So far it's working great! Holds a lot too. Love it!

I had this model for 3 years. I took out the very reasonable 3 year extended warranty and got my money back when it died. This can is very well made and I expect this can to last at least 5 years. I can toss in a dripping coffee filter just by waving my elbows so this can is the only trash can type I ever plan on using.
