The phone is terrible. Cannot hear even at its loudest setting

I ordered this phone for my mother, who had an LG flip phone that stopped working. She is not a smart phone user, nor is she good with any type of technology. I was pleasantly surprised by this phone. It has big buttons and a big, clear screen. It is easy to access the contacts and easy to enter contacts into the phone. I really like the "Notices" option on the phone because she can quickly get to new voice mails and easily access them. The texting is really easy as well (my mother won't use this option because she doesn't do well with using the number pad to type things and flips out with predicative text). The Google voice assistant is awesome - it made entering contact phone numbers a snap, as well as names that are easy-to-understand and spell. I tried Google voice assistant on the texting and it was very good. My only complaint about the phone is that I could not modify the icons on the screen - I really wanted to remove the 4 icons on the phone that were really "smart-phone" icons - Google Maps, Store (and 2 others). I wanted to replace them with the camera icon, the gallery icon, and the message icon (which are really the only icons my mother would use). The phone did not allow any customization of the screen or the "hot" keys. The phone would have been PERFECT if I could have done the customization on the home screen.

This was a replacement for another flip phone for an 85 year old. General feedback is that the numbers are bigger and the volume is great. Form factor was very similar to the LG model from 5 years ago. Thanks in short very reliable alternative to an iPhone which is not an option for this 85 year old!

Phone seems okay for older user like myself...I do not text and texting would be cumbersome with this phone. Recommend downloading ATT user manual for this phone, it helps a lot. For example, how to install the battery! Menus on phone can be convoluted and confusing, as phone has a lot of features, many of which I will never use. Synched fine with my old F150 truck, but took bunch of tries.

Good replacement for an older flip phone. Purchased for my 86 year old dad. It's difficult to help an elder make the transition to new buttons, new features, etc. Hoping he'll eventually get it and not get too frustrated in the process.
