SlimFast Advanced Nutrition Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Nut Meal Bar

I have been pretty impressed with the snack options that Slim Fast has been coming out with. I have tried quite a few of their snack and meal replacement bars and they have all been pretty darn delicious! I use the snacks and bars to keep my calorie count down but also to enjoy a little something sweet while keeping my hunger in check. With their higher amount of protein I have been able to go a little longer in between snacks/meals. The Chocolate and Sea Salt bar has just the right amount of chocolate without going over board, the almonds and oats add a nutritious side to the bar that satisfies you. I love the salty sweetness and the chewy yet still a little crunchy texture. My only down fall to this product is that the price for 4 bars is a little high. Each bar is 1.59oz and a little over 4 inches in length. I do coupon and I have noticed that Slim Fast has been putting $1 off coupons out lately so I use them to buy the products, which helps. Usually if you contact the company they will also send you out coupons if you ask for them. Over all though I really like these bars and will continue to buy them when my budget allows, otherwise I'll make my own protein bars. **Bars contain nuts and soy and milk**

These are very yummy, sweet, lightly salted with almonds, peanuts, & chocolate. These are not packed with vitamins but fortified with some of them & has some protein to make them a bit healthier than a candy bar or energy bar. Although I like the taste, & they look like they have lots of chocolate in them, the actual chocolate taste is weak. They could use more chocolate flavor. Nuts are delicious with a nice chocolate taste, but the chocolate flavoring was faint in these. The box says 4 hours of hunger control. LOL. I'm a small thin guy. If a meal was delayed, or skipped, I'd need at least 2 of these to get by a few hours. Pack more than one or leave a few in your desk or locker. Just one won't do. Technically these should keep for years if the wrapper is kept sealed & unopened without refrigeration. But after you've stored them in a drawer, or locker for a year, I'd recommend eating them up, & buying new ones - - just in case. For all storable food, it's always best to store in a cool dry place. Packaging or or product consistency may be damaged by freezing. If storing in your car, the cooler trunk is better than the hot passenger area.

Undoubtable the best bar I have eaten in a long time... I will have to be extra careful not to eat too many or else it will mess me up for my diet. I will say it is the most delicious bar have had had in a long time. So if you are looking for a bar that taste great, and also, helps you satisfy your need for good chocolate and goodies, go get some slim fast meal bars.....

The bar itself is not bad. Its just that personally, i dont like nuts, so it was that good to me. I would probably eat them if it did not have the nuts in the bar. But other than my personal preference, its not bad. And it didnt leave me hungry for long.

I have never tried these before, and I can't say I liked this flavor very much. The basic granola bar was large, and tasted good and had a nice variety of oats, nuts, etc. The chocolate coating on the bottom was not very good quality, and not very flavorful. It was filling and makes a good quick breakfast or snack. I didn't find the taste horrible, but if I were buying, I would choose a different flavor. The sea salt was the issue. The bar has a VERY salty note that takes over the flavor of the bar, and doesn't really meld with the other flavors. It didn't really taste like a sea salt to me. Not a good quality one, any way.
