It was a good toy overall, my 4 year old loves it and constantly plays with it. The only set back is that the superman action figure that can rest on top of the larger toy to move the arms comes off if you don't get a good grip on it and with tiny hands that can be frustrating. This toy was not one of my daughters favorites. I believe it is more suitable to a little boy. My daughter was actually scared of it when we first opened it up. Then she discovered that you can make the arms move by placing superman on top. She figured it out before me. My daughter is sometimes rough with her toys and she was dropping the toy and make superman beat it up. This toy is still in one piece and not broken so I believe it to be very durable. The DC Super Friends Doomsday figure is fairly large for little hands. It's about 9 inches tall and includes a superman figure that goes on the power pad on top of the villian. My 3 w/o son quickly started to fly around the superman guy that comes with it, the fabric cape is a nice detail, and he flew him around for a while. He quickly figured out the superman goes on top of the Doomsday villain, while he was able to get the superman to stand there, it was difficult for him to turn the power pad with the superman guy on it. This toy is rated from 3 years to 8 years but I think most 3 year olds would have a hard time turning the power pad with the superman figure. He was able to turn the power pad fine with his fingers. The big doomsday villain punches and swings his arms. A wooden beam is also included for the villain to hold and swing. It was fun knocking down blocks and pounding toys with the villains arms. I received this toy in the mail from Mattel. This is a great toy for kids ages 3+. My daughter could easily hold and maneuver the pieces, it was light weight but very sturdy, and the pieces are very well made. Doomsday is a great figure that has 10 points of articulation, is very sturdy, and easy to pose (i.e. doesn't fall over). He holds a construction beam in one hand and has a punching action with the other hand. It is very easy and fun to watch my 3 yr old move the arms to knock over blocks and giggle! Superman is also very well made, has large hands to hold items in, has a sturdy cape that moves and does not easily tear, and fits in your hand easily. It is not too small and would not get lost easily. Superman has battle tears on his shirt and has red laser eyes, making it fun to pretend that he and Doomsday are in a battle. Other Imaginext toys will fit on top of Doomsday, and there is another Lex Luthor figure you can buy for it as well. My daughter was very excited to play with this toy and spent several hours pretending with the set. We will definitely be collecting more! My 3 1/2 year old daughter loves this toy! It makes her use her imagination. She is easily able to put Superman on top of Doomsday to make him swing his arms around. This toy has held up very well as she can be pretty rough when playing with the "bad guy" [Doomsday]. I would definitely recommend this toy to add to your super hero collection!
