No nicks at all from cutter hitting the mat which is great. And when I'm done using it it rolls up very easily and stays in place or is compact enough to put behind my desk. Absolutely love this!

She loves making dog bandanas, this size mat allows her to cut the largest sizes she needs without having to stop and move the mat around like she did on her smaller one. It is heavy duty, there is no way you will cut through this. She is very pleased.
