I have purchased Dr Scholl's socks before and loved them. These are very thick, almost like sock-slippers. They are too thick to wear with ordinary shoes! The top is very flimsy, not like the old ones. I will not purchase them again.
I am not diabetic, but am a plus size women who is tired of the elastic band of crew socks cutting into my calves. I did a search on the Internet for wide band crew socks, and saw that Walmart had these Dr Scholl's diabetic socks that don't cut into your legs. The socks are very well made with great quality material. They fit well, although I do wish the foot part was a little longer, and they rarely slide down your leg despite having a lot of stretch to the elastic around your calves.
At first fit, the socks seem all right for a normal leg even though they are produced as wide-leg. Wide leg had to be chosen because there was no selection for women's medium regular that was not knee pull-up or quarter socks....will see if their wear over time will continue to be all right.
The ad for these socks say they don't fall down, but that's not true. Not only do they fall down but they twist in my shoes. Very uncomfortable and very disappointed with them.
I purchased 6 pair of these for my mom who had by pass surgery, and they took part of the vein from her leg. She said the socks really made her leg feel better.
