The steel construction provides a solid base strong enough for the torque applied during use and the powder coast finish keeps the unit durable from the elements and looking good. Sporting a 1.3 horsepower 12 volt DC motor, with internal metal gears set to a 166:1 ratio allow a max pull rating of 4500 lbs., and the internal braking system along with the external clutch locks the load in place while the winch is at rest. Spooled up with 50 feet of synthetic rope and utilizing a hawse fairlead to prevent fraying, the WS4500 is a good choice to mount up.
