Waverly Inspirations Chalk Paint Wax, Ultra Matte, Antique, 8 fl oz

This is my first time painting furniture. I love this paint for its ease of use and and non-toxicity. I will be buying more of this product for future projects. The 8oz bottle was just enough for 2 coats of paint on a small bookcase. Very affordable!

I ordered this on Saturday evening and promptly received it on Monday before 7 a.m. VERY happy with the easy ordering, availability of the product and fast delivery. My complaint is that the lid to the paint is cracked - which means after i open it there is no way to reseal it.

Because the item was not able to be fulfilled, the substitution offered was not equal and could not do the same job and because I was not offered for my item to be shipped, I decided not pick up one of my items so that I could make another purchase with the unfulfilled item that I needed and a couple other items since I had to spend $35 for free shipping.

Dear Friends, The Waverly paint is excellent. I was watching YOUTUBE video and a knowledgeable and experienced lady did an in-depth test of all chalk paints and found that of all, Waverly was the superior paint for the lowest price. I am very pleased with this paint and I rarely use anything but Waverly. Why would I when I have such excellent results? Thank you for carrying this line and making it easy to acquire. Walmart helps me a lot in many ways, especially the online service and filling my orders so quickly. SSSS

I purchased the Waverly Silver Lining and Clear Wax to paint a small accent table that was varnished. I washed it down with TSP and painted over with 2 coats of the Silver Lining paint, and I was pretty pleased with the results! As others have said, the paint is thick, but it still went on smoothly for me and had good, even coverage, and no bleed through. However, I finished with a thin coat of the wax paint and regretted it. Within minutes, I could see areas with orange bleed through. I was careful to remove excess wax, but there were still a few corner areas where it gathered and looks yellow. I waited the full 24 hours recommended before buffing. Gentle buffing led some areas to have a distressed look. I tried to get off some of the excess wax in corners and this also took off some chunks of the paint. The project started off positive, but ended in disappointment! Maybe the paint is good, but don't use the wax!
