Dap Weldwood Original Contact Cement, Gallon

Excellent product. Used for repairing seat foam on multiple cars. Works outstanding!

Weldwood is the best contact cement for many applications, including shoe repair. I've been using it since the 1960's. It's much faster to dry than ShoeGoo and is stronger. The reason for 4 stars is that it leaves a tan residue which is hard to remove. Barges is similar, but is clear. That one is used in leather work.

Works good but a solvent is not listed for the product. After a while the product thickens and becomes unusable. Add in thinner would restore it to the usual thickness.

this is rubber to rubber contact cement rubber to rubber now I will add this glued it to foam back on one side of the roofing and then glued it to cement concrete and it worked it's been great I had a damaged roof from where a purchaser of a home wanted to see what was under the rubber roof which he could have looked inside looked up but he ripped the rubber off the corner making it almost impossible to fix because that the angle I'm a woman I took another piece of rubber membrane that was like the other membrane I took that rubber and put it over painted rubber and dabbed it on it's sealed it's been sealed for 12 years you can't rip it apart let that guy try and lift that now oh, I recently bought this again for a whole slab of rubber that was ripped away to add a new gutter a resin gutter instead of metal because the metal head rusted way lightweight looks nicer the gutter but I trust Wellman and you will too, note make sure you put the rubber exactly where you want it if you spread it too far that rubber will be sticking out and it can't be taken off once it's dry you can put rubber over rubber cracks you can put this cement over rubber cracks and extend it an inch and it will stay but note this is a hard cement to clean up use rubber gloves or anything that throws away you don't have to clean area off before you put on unless you want to I'm a clean woman I always clean everything before I glue anything or paint anything anyway last longer I think maybe it's in my brain but you'll love this concrete see Matt Waldman I trust I just hope they don't get cheaper with their material like everything else does. You can't beat the price either Walmart and Lowe's

Dap Contact Cement, longtime user, almost a great product, (3 stars) BECAUSE, DAP dismisses potential users by not listing cleanup solvents and methods. I won't buy or recommend a product that leaves this important information off the container label. Why make the product more difficult for End Users to use? Why hinder project cleanup? The correct cleanup solvents are toluene, acetone and naptha, but you have top pull teeth to find it on their website and you will not find these listed on their containers !
