It would have been nice to state considerable assembly required Only took parts apart 2x Only 1 notification on enroute seemed to recollect ups but came by fed ex Too soon to say it works
All the parts are good and sturdy except for one of the plastic sleeves couldn't lock down one of the bolt heads and I had to use some pliers to tighten down. Otherwise all the other parts worked fine. It was a little tricky putting together though, definitely would recommend having a second set of hands. I like how the rotation can be locked in several different positions. The lids also open from either end.
This is a great Composter. It opens on both ends, is easy to feed and remove completed compost. The dark color allows it to heat up nicely and because it tumbles end to end, the compost is easy to mix. I had another barrel Composter that sat on a rolling base and it was far harder to turn, empty and was too low to the ground. I did not find assembly difficult. I had to leave the old Composter behind when I moved and am now buying the same one to replace the old. It is the best bang for the buck and it held up through Oklahoma summers and winters with no rust or plastic breakdown. I found that if I filled the Composter with browns and greens, I would have a good batch in 6 weeks if it was hot outside and I watered it down inside, weekly. All the other yard waste stood in a pre-compost pile so when one batch finished, there was plenty of yard waste, somewhat broken down and ready to load in the bin.
Bought the Suncast Tumbling Composter set it up and started to make compost but the funny thing about it was once you closed it you could not get it open again. I had 2 strong men try and open it so that I could empty it content, they could not even budge the door.
This thing is massive looks like a cement mixer, and very very difficult to put together. Seems to be good quality and will hold up to use.The instructions are vague half sentence and pictures of just the hole where the screw goes. That I can figure out after all its a hole what parts attach is far more complicated I'm putting all the parts back in the box and returning it today!
