Waterpik 5-Mode Powerspray+ Hand Held Shower Head, Brushed Nickel TRS-559

I always decide stars based on an item's value...how it works vs comparable prices of similar items. To me, a sturdy handheld shower head with a few pressure settings under $20 that was easy to install, worked as expected out of the box, didn't leak, no hassle, etc, gets 5 stars. I don't smell a thing about the hose as someone else mentioned. I don't condone wasting water (or paying a higher bill) but if you are indeed in a house or area with very poor water pressure, like most units, this does have a small white un-screwable regulator in the joint that connects to the spout (make sure to leave the black rubber washer in). Since it screws in or out, you can test it both ways. I'm cheap with the utility bills and don't need a cat 5 hurricane blaster shower head (which is exactly what this is without it) so I put my regulator back in. One other note, another reason for my 5 star rating is that the hose and handheld didn't leak at all after installation without having to use threading tape (although I'd always recommend buying some for a buck or so! I just forgot this time). There was still some usable tape on my spout from the previous head which worked fine. I'm more than satisfied with this item.

I just moved into a new apartment and had no water pressure in 3rd floor bath. THIS HAS HUGE WATER PRESSURE !!!!! Almost too much. If you want more water pressure BUY THIS !!!! Can't beat the price either

The hose gives off a strong odor that must be related to chemical warfare agent production. I’ve tried cleaning the hose; wiping it completely with a cleaning product for its entire length but it still smells awful. Otherwise it’s a good basic handheld shower. Is the same hose used on the other handhelds?
