It works great when I do homework or to pay bills etc but when I try to watch a video the screen glitches and freeze up and can't turn it off properly. It started messing up within the month after purchasing. Half the time it doesn't even recognize the keyboard I have to take it off and then put it back on. Its pretty much good for a temporary thing and for small use like pay bills, homework etc.
The screen's touch detection is inverted and the keyboard acts weird unless it is in a certain position. It is nearly impossible to play my favorite games due to mediocre performance. It is good to do school work, is portable, but it feels very fragile when the keyboard is detached. Makes me want to open it up to do my own upgrades. Did I mention that the keyboard randomly types letters? Not really good for coding, because those random letters can screw it up.
I find it hard to see all the bad reviews . Maybe there was a bad batch that went out, I say this because I find it to be a WOW for the price , I have had 2500 computers and laptops and this little guy stays right beside ALL top brands .I own a MacBook Air now we are talking Apple !!! and I will say this. My Apple is sitting in the closet and i'm enjoying the ease of the Onn !!! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT !!!
This is an affordable WinTablet that functions just a bit more than a Chromebook. I wanted a dedicated Win device to run a hobby laser and it did great. I've since found another solution for that and am now using it as a beater computer that I can haul around and put at risk instead of my higher end Windows laptop. My only issue is that the keyboard/trackpad/stand can disconnect from the tablet easily, causing it to switch into tablet mode in the middle of things. Perhaps I just beat on it too much. Good for the money, it does what most people today need a laptop for. A good common use machine, look elsewhere for CAD/Advanced Graphics/Gaming.
After my laptop and iPad both died off, I decided to get a proper desktop, and supplement it with a nifty new 2-in-1 so I could maintain the laptop's functionality on the go, but with the tablet's convenience. So far, the desktop's been great. The Onn 11.6" is an anemic laptop - it's not got an exceptional battery life, or performance, and it tends to heat to boiling at the mere thought of using its processor. And as a tablet, it's worse. It has poor touch detection, that causes it to be jittery, often hitting the wrong point, and then readjusting, causing it to signal taps and gestures with no provocation. It's tapered to one side, and there are no external buttons for audio control. Oh, and after three months it will no longer turn on for unknown reasons. Total piece of trash, I want my money back.
