Swingline Optima 50 Electric Stapler Value Pack - Electric Staplers

This is the second time that I got a stapler in less than a year. The one that I got last December last less than a month. Worst quality ever.

I always only used the correct staples on this. Four months after purchasing, it jams every time - in manual and auto mode. A complete waste of money. Wish I still had my old manual stapler.

We have (8) in our office and all but (1) don't work. And I believe if it was used, it eventually would stop working. Staples get jammed, you cannot staple more than a few sheets at a time. It's NOT worth the money you spend to have it break down after 2 months of use.

I have owned this stapler before and it was a great product. The product I received was not the product in the picture nor did it match the description. This stapler was described as "quiet" and had a button to change from auto to manual. The stapler I received is very loud and there is no way to change it manual. I am returning it.

I read a lot of the negative reviews on this stapler, and it seems like it was human error on the part of the consumer that lead to the poor reviews and dissatisfaction. This is a great automatic stapler - and it's covered by an outstanding warranty (which makes me wonder why there were several reviews claiming 'stapler failed and I had to throw it away'). I had one of these, company owned, at the previous job, and it was on my 'wish list' with my new employer. It's been a couple months of steady use, and it's been great. Not one jam! Using Optima staples is a good idea if your going to be using the stapler at or near the 45 page capacity, because the Optima staples are made of a heavier strength material. Standard staples have proven to be just fine for 2 - 15 page stapling. Strong, quiet, and stylish. Convenient features like the low-staple warning, easy front load cassette, and staple storage drawer make it user friendly.
