It charges very fast, it even charges my chromebook at a reason rate, certainly better than a normal phone charger. The quality of the plastic and especially the rubber the cord is wrapped in is better than average. 100% satisfied with every item I have gotten from Belkin within the last several years.

It feels very sturdy compared to some cheaper plastic ones I have tried, the plug hinges are easy to snap open and closed, and it does a great job charging my phone and tablet!
