I like it that it's a simple choice that's healthy and the right size portion that I can make a couple meals out of it but not have waste as I am a single person. I can add dressing alone. where I can add some tuna or chicken. I can have it as a snack or a major meal. I love its crispness
as always, WMhardly ever has what I need. i would shop elsewhere but as i am disabled and on limites income, i have few options. WM is the least expensive. because of their extremely poor stocking routines the main items i order are out of stock. i hate them but i am afraid i have no choice but to use them.
The product could be called shredded cabbage and carrots with a little lettuce added. Once opened, the quality deteriorates quickly. On second day I have to pick through what little lettuxe there is to get a second salad. A bag this size should make 2 lunch salads.
As far as bagged prepared mixed salads go, this is by far the best option. Approximately 87% of the bag is still fresh, which doesn't seem like a whole lot, but compared to others, it is. I buy (2) of these at a time because in the 24oz bag, only about 40% of it is still fresh. Those are horrible and shouldn't even be out for purchase. And they're so obviously icky already, all you have to do is tip the bag over and look at the bottom. You can see the gross green slime from where it's already gone bad. And that's how they were showing up in my order! But the 12oz bags are much much better!
you get maybe 1 day before this goes to crap. I grow my own lettuce as well, and it stays fresh for about 5 days in a crisper. I've tried keeping this in the bag, and day 2 was soggy. nect purchase I removed it from the bag and put in a crisper container and the same result. unless you're going to eat it that day, dont waste your money.
