Marketside Tri-Color Cole Slaw, 16 oz Bag, Fresh

I made a Vietnamese Chicken salad and the best part was that I didn't have to shred the cabbage, or cut carrots. I mixed the coleslaw mix with arugula because I love arugula shredded the cold rotisserie chicken from Walmart and made the sauce for the salad! It was so delicious and it was so easy to make because I didn't have to cut anything. Check Pinterest for the recipe.

Because this is cut with a metal blade, the cabbage turns dark in days. Keep it cool or it weeps and gets soggy. The quality control is not doing well. Big pieces that can not be used are in the pack. once opened, even in refrigerator it will last 3 days. Great in classic Mexican dishes.. Tacos, fish tacos etc. Not cut fine enough for coleslaw, but can be marinated for a pepper slaw with green peppers, vinegar and sugar, salt , pepper . First take cabbage, lightly salt it, set aside. chop green pepper in thin short slices, add to cabbage, mix 1 cup water, I cup sugar and 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar..bring to boil. cool and add the cabbage, peppers together. Let cool in refrigerator over night.. Great Pepper Slaw. put it on Tacos. Great flavor, eat with BarBque, or as a great cleanse dish.

Nothing better or more filling than a chilled tasty cole slaw in the Summer heat! I add dice onion, cranraisins, pineapple tidbits with mayo or miracle whip, season with black pepper and celery salt . Great with BBQ, fried chicken, steak, chops, fish, burgers or dogs, or just as is! Try it, you will love it!

Marketside cole slaw mix is on our weekly order. It is not full of water like other brands we have tried. Those other brands get soggy and slimy while the Marketside brand stays crisp. The only downside is sometimes there are huge, uncut pieces of cabbage. This cole slaw mix is priced well, tastes refreshing, and lasts until the sell by date or longer.

We almost always use bagged salads and slaw mixes because they are quick and convenient. This week, we bought the slaw mix and had it delivered. The color was a little less green and more brown than I would have picked out myself even though it still had a week left before expiration date. Upon opening, the cabbage smelled sour and we couldn't eat it.
