Quaker Instant Grits, Variety Pack, 1.0 oz, 12 Packets

My husband generally loves the Country Bacon flavored Instant grits the most but this morning, there were two pieces of round plastic about 2 inches around in his grits. He found after cooking them in the microwave. He is visually impaired or may have found them before-hand. Needless to say, we threw them out along with the whole box of unused grits. Disappointing and can't figure out what they could have come from. Factory workers lunch? Took pictures.

I absolutely love grits regardless of cooking method. One question though. Would you consider a no-salt or reduced-salt version of the instant? Salt is a major issue for Americans with hypertension or kidney disease. And I do love the portion control with the instant packages.

For perfect consistency grits, mix 2 packets with 3/4 cups of water. Microwave for 1 minute, then for 30 seconds in two 15 second intervals (so it doesn't bubble over). Add in 1 tbsp of butter and a half serving of cheese :) Delicous, perfect texture breakfast grits for 350 calories. E

I love the instant grits package. Quick & easy but why do you have so much sodium, it does not fit in on a heart healthy diet, I purchased the quick grits but I made a mess. It would be nice if there was an option with lower sodium or no sodium. Thanks!

I've eaten instant grits with my grandma every weekend I visited her!! I was unbelievably disappointed when I bought some after years of not having them and they were the color of butter popcorn or one of the rare yellow colors in a coloring set. They don't even taste the same anymore either. Please go back to the original formula.
