This was our favorite stroller for walks around the neighborhood and Disneyland visits. That was, until, one front wheel started locking on it's own. It is impossible to turn now, even with the wheel unlocked. With only a year of use I'm disappointed that I now have an unusable stroller.
We have used this stroller almost daily for our 18 month old twin boys. It is our favorite of the 3 double strollers we have. The one issue that is really frustrating is the front wheels constantly lock into non-swivel mode. It hapens whenever you hit a small bump on sidewalks. It makes it so you can't turn, there is a switch on each front wheel that you have to bend and flip up to move them back to swivel. We have to do it every 5 minutes while walking. Very annoying.
We have uses this stroller for day trips, grocery shopping, flight, subway travel, miles of city sightseeing, zoo trips and everything in between. It is the lightest side by side stroller we've found, collapses and sets up easily and the kids are really comfy in it. Heaps of storage for day trips, we fit diaper bag, picnic, water bottles, change if clothes and a little bit of shopping in this. It's a great in town on pavement stroller. Cons? Only moderate complaints here. Wheels get grit in them and become difficult to maneuver. Must be taken off and cleaned once in a while, an easy job. Not good for off pavement use, but not horrible either. Mostly because of the aforementioned grit problem. Joovy customer service is tops and after lots of miles of travel, you can easily order new wheels and get many more years out of this. Ours is 3 years old and just now needs new wheels. We are just now outgrowing this stroller as my older son is turning 4. He still fits and we could still get a few more months out of this. Would not hesitate to recommend. This has stood up remarkably well to the use we've given it.
Just an FYI: This is the first review I have ever done on a product! ...I bought this stroller after we had our second child. I researched double strollers for a long time before deciding and came across this one. I choose this one without testing it (wasn't in stores yet), but decided I liked the price, storage space & canopy. When I first purchased it, the stroller seemed nice. However, after only 5 months it started creaking and it seemed to get harder and harder to push. My girls are not at all heavy by the way. We have now had the stroller for a year 1/2 and I hate pushing it. I don't mind short trips to the mall, but long day trips are a killer. This stroller NEEDS better wheels. The wheels are so small for a larger stroller and it doesn't work. I wish I had spent a little more money on smoother stroller! To give a positive note, I did buy it directly from Joovy and I did receive my stroller quickly. Also, I still like the canopy and storage...the reason I purchased it. Just wish I had thought about the tires more.
Bought the Scooter for my toddler because I loved the look and seat capacity- my 2 year old is 34lbs & 3 feet tall- well above average size- so I need years of use. Unfortunately, after using it for several months, my husband could not get past the awkwardness of the handle and I could not get past the difficulty maneuvering or the awkward fold. If those issues are adjusted, I think the stroller could be fabulous. And I love Joovy! But the Scooter just really fell short with us.
