3M #3841 Tear-by-Hand Packaging Tape, 1-15/16" x 17 yd.

This is the only packing tape I've used for years (and just disocovered that this tape has seemingly been discontinued?). It is so, very pleasant to use--and to store, since it doesn't require a useless, obnoxious dispenser. I will literally have to make someone else package things for me once my tape runs out, because I despise normal packing tape (and its gross dispensers) so much.

I had a roll of this tape lying around the house for a while. I had used it some on packages and it worked fine. What I love it for is not packages, but my door. We live in a 100+ yr old house and its not as tight as new houses. I have a door we don't use much on the north side of my house. A nasty winter storm came with really strong winds from the north. The wind was blowing in around the door and making the kitchen so cold. I grabbed this tape and went to work sealing around the door. To my surprise it stayed on all winter and when I removed it in the spring it didn't remove my new paint! This is my go to tape for this now! I've used it for 3 winters and my paint still looks great!

The BEST tape I have ever used. I have been using it for years and I absolutely love it. If I run out (which I try not to do) it drives me crazy because I use it for everything! I use it for wrapping gifts, laminating small items, of course for shipping, I could go on and on. The only problem is the stores where I live stopped selling it and I have to order it online. I did enjoy testing this product out for the first time. I was skeptical about the strength of the tape and was wondering if it would hold up well enough to ship the amount of boxes that I do with my ebay business. I found that the tape was slightly hard to tear at first, but once you got the hang of it and got a system down it seemed to operate fairly smoothly. I would recommend this product to a friend. I also like the fact that you did not need sciccors or anything sharp for that matter since I have a toddler and she is into everything and if she is attached at my hip as she usually is, it is good to not have scissors of the sharp edge of the tape cutter of the roll tape around. How nice to not require a dispenser or a cutter. Cutters cut more fingers than tape and dispensers occupy space on a desk or other surface. I have never been successful in using a cutter and find them aggravating and usually use scissors for cutting the tape. This is an appreciated product.
