3M Outdoor Window Insulator Kit, Clear Film, Clear Mounting Tape, Fits Two 3' x 5' Windows

3M, you must have been in a hurry to get this product to market. The box and the instructions do no favor to the fact that the window film IS heat shrinkable however it is mentioned on-line in your product description but not on the box or in the instructions. On the package you do indicate the product should be applied at temperatures above 50 degrees. Today the outside temperature was 52 degrees and the product installed with no trouble. Your strongest competitor states on their outdoor product it can be applied at temperatures above 32 degrees. Which product would you purchase on a cold day if you were comparing products in the store? I hope the product is better than the marketing team who took it to market. I have come to expect a lot of 3M over the years.

The plastic is folded in the box and in order to get the gold marks out it does take some patience and heat. Patience is key to getting it to look decent enough to see through it. It definitely keeps a lot of the cold air out. Overall good product & would be beneficial to anyone.

These 3M kits come with enough plastic and double sided tape to cover 2 typical bedroom windows. The instructions are short and simple, so if you've never done this before you may want to search online for a more detailed How-To. This kit is different from others because it doesn't require the application of heat to shrink the plastic to fit. You just need to measure and cut the plastic to fit. I prefer the heat to shrink kits.
