Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottle with Natural Response Nipple

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a first time mom trying to EBF I was struggling as my baby has a tongue & lip tie. He struggled to properly latch leaving us both frustrated and helpless. Finally I gave in and began introducing bottles. I found that many nipples were too quick for him or he disliked the shape. Thankfully I received a set of Avent bottlesas part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. From the very first use my baby was in LOVE and I could finally breathe. This nipple was slow enough and mimicked my breast enough for him to comfortably eat. He was able to pause to swallow and breathe without the nipple leaking causing him to cough and me to stress. My newborn easily adjusted to the size 2 nipple at just two weeks old. I'm he flow was perfect for him! We began with size 1 but found that it was a tad too slow for him. I also loved the convenience of the wide shape in my hand during feedings. It feels very natural and comfortable. The bottle is also very easy to clean! Thankfully it has minimal parts making it quick and painless. I am so thankful for this bottle and nipple!

I loved the shape of the nipple because it imitates the breast and the bottle shape is easy to hold and comfortable to have in your hand. The no-drip tip is the best because it does not waste precious breast milk. The nipples come in different flow rates, so you are able to pick the flow that works best for your baby. I love that you are able to find the nipple brand at local and convenient stores if you need to buy more. The bottles were very easy to assemble and clean. Overall, this was a great bottle and we would recommend this set to anyone looking to buy top notch nipple/bottle sets!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am mostly exclusively breastfeeding my newborn but this nipple from Philips has been the answer to my cluster feeding woes. This is so similar to the shape and functionality of my nipples that it's been a wonderful alternative when I need my husband to feed our newborn some of my pumped milk. I love the lower flow of this as it allows my very enthusiastic drinker to take her time and it's so easy to clean between feedings and I've found that I can sanitize the bottles and nipples with my pumping products as well. The no-drip tip is a major plus for this product because it gives her time to swallow and breathe which is exactly how breastfeeding works. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bottle by Philips Avent was awesome! My baby is breastfed but had NO issues switching back and fourth from this bottle to breast. She didn't seem to be confused whatsoever. I like how the nipple is shaped too-I believe it allows for no nipple confusion. The best to clean as well! Only a few parts and that's including the lid. Absolutely love that there isn't a million pieces to clean and sanitize. It's so comfortable to hold and I love the 4oz size too. Overall, great bottle that will definitely be used here! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this baby bottle set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. First, this bottle has a lot of positives. I am a mother of 2 month old twins and spend a LOT of time holding bottles. The first thing I immediately noticed was how comfortable the ergonomic shape was. It really does fit the hand well without any need to twist the wrist in order to hold the bottle. It was also easy to wash and assemble, with a wide enough neck so that you don't need a bottle brush. Additionally, this bottle was very much leakproof. I did not have any drips from the cap or from the nipple. Nonetheless, the bottle does have some drawbacks. The bottle has a slight lip at the top and does not round all the way up to the top, so that some liquid does get stuck in the lip instead of flowing all the way down to the nipple. Additionally, the measurement markings on the bottle are VERY small and very hard to read. You need plenty of light to see the markings, so this would not be easy to use for bleary 3 AM feedings. I have included of photo of the markings from Avent's old design (left) and the new design (right) to see how much this has changed. Finally, that no leaking feature comes at a cost. I have colicky babies on my hands, so I was happy to try an anti-colic bottle without needed to wash a bunch of extra parts. Unfortunately, both babies struggled to feed from these bottles. Using nipple sizes appropriate to their age, they fed for about 15-20 minutes, and only managed to get about 0.5 oz, leaving 2 cranky and hungry babies, which defeats to purpose of buying an anti-colic bottle.
