Great Value Diet Mountain Lightning, 2 Liter Bottle

Decent soda compared to Mt Dew… will continue to buy as long as Walmart keeps the affordable price , per will not pay name brand prices anymore! Walmart raised the price for this during the winter as well and I stopped buying until they lowered the price back down

I love the price and flavor, but the plastic bottles are not good for the environment since plastics can not be recycled forever and likely turn into micro-plastics when over-recycled. I wish canned Diet Mtn. Lightning was more competitive in price, since canned (and glass bottled) soda tastes better in my opinion. I also wish there wasn't a 12 bottle limit for delivery since that's only about half of what you get with the 12-12pk limit on cans. And they never have 24pks of Diet in cans.

I was surprised, DIET MOUNTAIN LIGHTNING tastes the same as the name brand, but at a much more reasonable, or should I say cheaper, price. I recently joined Walmart and am excited to have found this. I have never tasted anything that even comes this close.

This doesn't taste like Mountain Dew. The first swallow tasted slightly chemical. BUT, by the time I finished the bottle I loved the flavor and it's now my only soda. I can't really explain what it tastes like. It truly makes me feel more refreshing than flavor. It has a low carbonation and a slightly sweet flavor. I've been drnking this daily for over six months and the refreshing feeling I get hasn't disappeared. I also tried the Sweet Cream flavor and it truly tasted like a very good Sweet Cream. But the sugar content is outrageous and they don't have a sugar substite. The Pineapple wasn't close to tasting like Pineapple and didn't have any type of a good flavor. i don't know where the good reviews for the Pineapple came from.
