Should have read the comment before. I confirm. Once the battery is dead the product is dead. Careless development team and company.
I have had two of these Plug-n-Play label makers for many years (in excess of 10 years) and have never had a problem with either of them. Recently, though, I got a message that the battery was low on power and I couldn't print. Reviewing the reviews/comments it was suggested that I try another battery charger (not the USB port on my computer. I used by cellphone charger and used the cord from my labelmaker to plug into that. Appears to be working, and I am now able to print my labels as before. A lot of reviews are bashing the product, and I feel these are unjustified. The printer is simple to use and has met my needs. This is the first and only time I have had any problems with it and it was a simple fix.
Only works if battery is not low even though the device is receiving power supply via USB. It is useless when the battery is no longer charging. What a piece of horse dung. It should be able to function without a battery and while plugged in. I have a lot of labels of various colors.... now they all will be discarded.
Incompatible with current Windows 11 installs .DYMO will NOT help you and refuses to acknowledge the issue. The ONLY way I am able to use the PNP printer is on older Windows machines (Win 10) or using a virtual machine and passing through USB to the VM.
I had one of these, which I used attached to my computer. For unknown reasons the battery died, at which point it refused to print altogether. This was really frustrating, as I never use the battery: it is connected to my computer full time. I bought a new one, which quickly developed a "stripe": one of the printing heads apparently failed, so there's always a white stripe across everything I print. Now, the battery on this one has died as well. Crappy quality, I suggest you consider a product from another vendor.
