Don't buy anything from this site, they have printers available with outdated driver downloads that don't even open. You'll essentially have a paperweight, because you can't get any software to use your printer. Selling unusable products is insane. Notice I had to pick dymoistrash2 as a name because dymoistrash is already taken.
I've had this for 18 months and had a lot of intermittent problems with it, especially right after changing label rolls. After messing around for a while, I could get it to for a while and then it would start failing. I kept having problems with it feeding out too many labels. I've lost at least 15 labels this time around. But now it's not working at all. I'm getting constant printer errors stating the printer is out of paper, printer is in error state, etc. And, it won't feed labels anymore. When it actually does decide to feed labels, it feeds 5 or 6 labels at a time. I have cleaned it multiple times and did what was suggested on the internet and nothing is working. I simply cannot get this to work anymore. And I just bought a new box of labels. Now I need a new printer. It certainly will not be a Dymo. Not after all the problems I've had with this one.
I have been using this printer for a couple of years now, and I give this 2-2.5 stars. PROS: — It is an aesthetically pleasing product. Although it has a few years now, it still looks fresh and sleek. — Speed of printing is satisfactory — Noise levels are minimal (it is completely silent when idle, and fairly quiet while printing), that's a huge plus! — Durability is good CONS: — Installation is a nightmare, the driver is not downloaded automatically by Windows, and one has to search for it manually. Second problem is, they are nowhere to be found, it is as if Dymo does not want you to install it. Out of the frustration, then you may guess "maybe that Dymo Connect thing might help?" and it does, if you manage to download it! And when you finally do, it is not even the lastest version. Dymo needs to hire better people. —Then, many of these machines are faulty. My first one broke ("the last USB you connected to this computer malfunctioned") the first day, after a single print. It was unfixable so I had it returned. The second has been lasting longer, but has this problem rising (without any notice) every now and then. It is fixable, but takes about 15-20 minutes every time. Too much for a printer you actually pay for (remember that they restrict you to use only their uber-expensive labels). — (minor) The machine comes with a huge power brick, same size as the ones that come with much bigger devices. I have no doubt that there's a better way around this in the 21st century. * (minor) The blue LED light cannot be turned off (not good if your bedroom/studio apartment doubles as a shipping station). Not a major problem, but it accumulates.
This label printer has been malfunctioning since the day I purchased it. It is extremely inconsistent - it will work a couple times and then stop completely or will ghost print tons of labels. It also prints partial labels at times rendering them completely useless. I have wasted countless labels with this printer due to these issues and have only used the correct size Dymo brand labels and fed them through the printer as directed. I have purchased many other Dymo brand printers in the past and am extremely disappointed in this product.
I was having issues from day 1 with this Printer. It shoots labels like a mad one or the drivers won't install on mac. The new update you have Mac 8.7.4 it is breathtakingly idiotic. I have been trying to add the drivers and I fail every time. I have used all sorts of remedies found online & still of no use.
